[lac-streams] Backups of files and wrapping things up

I bought a 750G disk which I brought here for purposes of storing the
conference raw DV files. This goes home with me and has a complete copy
of all DV files, ogv rough cuts from the stream captures, config files,
scripts and logs.

Ryan took with him a copy of all of the above, minus the DV files.

In addition, I have a second USB harddisk with me with everything
excluding the DV. I've decided also to take home the tapes and purchase
a miniDV camera or deck that can handle PAL. I do enough international
work, that I think it makes sense for me to have this in my kit. Since I
intend to do the editing work, it will be easier and faster this way
than asking someone here to grab stuff from tape and then transfer over
the net.

For DV backups I am almost finished copying files so that we will have
the
following left here in Cologne:
02-28 on lacstreamer /var/local/ogv/dv.bak/
02-29 on lacstreamer /var/local/ogv/dv.bak/
03-01 on lac2008.khm.de /var/local/ogv/dv.bak/
03-02 on lac2008.khm.de /var/local/ogv/dv.bak/ (Copy in Progress)


I'm going to go check out the Dom before it gets dark. I'll be back to
check on the backups, clear my gear out of the Aula and return my keys.
